Château LACARELLE (BEAUJOLAIS-VILLAGES) Classified 1st High-class wine with this Beaujolais-Villages 2006 (vines 35 year old on average, grape harvest manual, semi-carbonic maceration), rich color as in aromas, with the red fruit notes with core, intense with the nose as in mouth. The 2005 are of color crimson, velvety and harmonious, quite robust, with the marked nose of ripe currant, very good evolution.

Domaine CRÊT des GARANCHES (BROUILLY) 69460 Odenas A beautiful place in my Classification for this family estate of 9,60 ha, located in the middle of the vintage Brouilly. Soil with dominant granitic, combined with black the Gamay type of vine with white juice confer on this wine its smoothness. The Côte-de-Brouilly 2005 matured several months out of barrels of oak (manual vintage), of dress crimson, is supple and robust at the same time, with the complex nose (ripe blackcurrant, strawberry of wood, violet), slightly spiced. Beautiful Brouilly 2006, of intense dress, scented well (fresh fruits, humus…), develops fullness and roundness, a wine very slightly peppered in finale.

Alain MICHAUD (BROUILLY) Classified 1st High-class wine with this Brouilly 2006, of a red dress limpid cherry, a nose of morello cherry but also with aromas of blackcurrant and peony and a fresh mouth with tannins melted goods, a wine which requires a rich kitchen. The 2005 are a wine of deep color, typified well, with the notes of blackberry and violet, of well-balanced structure, very charmer, of fleshy and persistent mouth, excellent evolution. You will like their Morgon 2006 as much (2,50 ha, with 45 years old vines on the slopes), a success, wine of a full and rich, with the complex nuances of fruits of wood, powerful and tasty mouth, of excellent guard. Very nice Beaujolais wine rosé 2006 (2000 bottles only), greedy and fruity, perfect on the Lyons pork-butcheries.

Domaine CHAMPAGNON(CHENAS) Les Brureaux At the top with their Moulin-à-Vent 2006, with the aromas of macerated fruits and spices, rich person, of beautiful garnet-red color, dense with the nose as in mouth, combining smoothness and structure, with quite silky and very well-balanced tannins, of very good evolution. Very beautiful Chénas 2006, resulting from a very traditional wine making from 6 to 8 days (breeding in the wood lightnings), of dress crimson, with the powerful, well-balanced raspberry nose, of a beautiful aromatic, typified gustatory persistence, a wine rich but all in elegance, scented in mouth. The 2005 are of dress crimson, with the nose dominated by the strawberry and blackberry, rich person, structured, of a nice final, a traditional wine, with tannins ripe but quite present, of very good evolution. Taste also the Fleurie, a wine of color intense, with the prune notes, harmonious, with silky tannins. Remarkable quality-price-typicité ratio.

CAVE des VIGNERONS (COTEAUX-DU-LYONNAIS) Sure value with this red Coteaux-du-Lyonnais cuvée Hommée 2006, resulting from not very deep sandy grounds and a carbonic, tasty and subtle semi-maceration, of full mouth. Excellent Lyonnais de Sain-Bel 2005, where the red fruits and the violet dominate, combining smoothness and structure, which continues a good evolution, of fleshy mouth. After, this red Coteaux-du-Lyonnais Domaine de Champ-Guichard 2006, with the nose of cooked small fruits, which combines powerfull and suppleness, of garnet-red dress vivid, very aromatic in mouth. Their Coteaux-du-Lyonnais white, with the delicate nose (fern, apple), full, of a beautiful promptness, elegant, is scented and persistent. The red Coteaux-du-Lyonnais Benoît Maillard 2006 is of dress deep ruby to purple reflections, with the nose of humus and spices, a rich wine, with ripe tannins, all in nuances like this nice cuvée Référence rosé 2006.

Domaine du GRANIT DORÉ Georges ROLLET (JULIÉNAS) Classified 1st High-class wine. The son, Vincent, joined the property after his studies and of the training courses in Burgundy, Alsace and Afrique du Sud. Remarkable Juliénas cuvée Spéciale Vieilles Vignes 2006, with the pepper and very ripe raspberry aromas, of very good structure, dense and persistent mouth, a harmonious, full and distinguished wine, of excellent evolution, which requires a raised kitchen. Excellent Juliénas Tradition 2006, where the ripe fruits and the violet dominate, all of structure, very typified, linking with harmony smoothness and structure.

Gérard BRISSON (MORGON) At the top of First Classified High-class wines. Beautiful Morgon cuvée Noble Tradition 2004, of nice dress crimson, with notes of blackberry and pepper, at the same time powerful and round mouth, not yet with maturity. The Morgon Les Charmes 2005 is a wine remarkable, robust, combining suppleness and complexity aromatic, of a beautiful color to the purple reflections, with currant aromas, of pepper and blackcurrant, powerful in mouth, of excellent guard. The 2003 is perfectly currently tasted, of a beautiful color ruby pronounced, with subtle nuances of kirsch, persistent mouth, robust, very harmonious, characteristic of what must be a wine of this appellation. Showing the potential of evolution of these wines, Vieilles Vignes 99 is superb, with the reflections crimsons, the aromas of ripe fruits (blackcurrant, blackberry) and of liquorice, powerful mouth, a packed, coloured and complex wine as we like them, of excellent evolution. The wines collect the rewards, and it is included/understood.

Château de PIZAY (MORGON) 69220 Saint-Jean-d’Ardière The property extends on 80 ha around the castle including 40 planted in vines. Beautiful Morgon Château de Pizay 2006, velvety, with the powerful undergrowth and black fruit aromas, a full and very cordial, promising wine. Régnié Château de Pizay 2006, with the spice and macerated fruit notes, fleshy and robust, is slightly peppered, of deep color, a traditional and elegant wine as we like them. Excellent Brouilly Château de Saint-Lager 2006, of round and persistent mouth, nice dress, all in aromas (cherry, violet), at the same time fruity and rich. The Château de Pizay is also a superb hotel 4 stars installed in a splendid castle of XIVe and XVIIe centuries.

Domaine MORTET Père et Fils (MOULIN-A-VENT) Winegrowing of 10 ha. A great very favorite (usual) for this exceptional Moulin-à-Vent Les Rouchaux 2005, resulting from a granitic ground of rock, particularly succeeded, with beautiful reflections crimsons, with the aromas of ripe fruits (blackcurrant, blackberry) and of liquorice, powerful mouth, an ample, coloured and complex wine, that it is necessary to let be done and open on a stew. Its Moulin-à-Vent 2006 particularly seduced us with its subtle aromas where the ripe fruits and the violet prevail, all of structure, is very typified, linking with harmony smoothness and structure, of beautiful evolution.
