This charming owner directs his small winegrowing on ground argilo-limestone, created by deposits santoniens of marine origin, which is appropriate perfectly for the type of vines Cinsault, Grenache, Clairette and Mourvèdre. No chemical weed control for this superb red Bandol Cuvée Spéciale 2005, resulting from a not picked off vintage (95% Mourvèdre and 5% Grenache), flexibly pressed, before being put out of tanks of fermentation 4 to 7 weeks, under control of temperature, then matured in the lightnings of oak from 18 to 24 months. Very a great wine, very full, with coated tannins, fleshy as it should be, rich and traditional, of robe intense crimson, scented (red fruits with fresh core, grooves, humus…), slightly peppered finally, of slow evolution. Bandol red 2005 combines smoothness and concentration, a rich wine, with powerful and silky tannins at the same time, with the persistent nose, typified as it should be, very well-balanced, of excellent evolution. Remarkable Bandol rosé 2007 (75% Mourvèdre, 15% Cinsault and 10% Grenache), of beautiful a very pale pink, slightly spiced, of light robe, associating nervousness and sweetness, of beautiful final, perfect on an hare terrine. Bandol beautiful white (70% Clairette and 30% white Ugni), with this touch of allied acidity to a pleasant roundness, a wine where intermingle with the persistent notes of ripe citrus fruits and honeysuckle.
