Appreciated its Côtes-de-Bourg Prestige 2005 well, resulting from limestone slopes with asteries (85% Merlot, 10% Malbec, 5% Cabernet franc), matured 100% out of new barrels, dense and velvety, with nuances characteristic of macerated small fruits, spiced stops some as it should be, with full and tasty tannins, of very good evolution. The 2003 are rich with the nose as in mouth, powerful, with these small notes of spices and humus, with very well-balanced and ripe tannins at the same time, fleshy. Excellent Premières-Côtes-de-Blaye Château Haut-Vigneau, with supple tannins, of harmonious mouth, with the spice and blackberry nose.

A vineyard under reasoned culture. That gives it Premières-Côtes-de-Blaye 2006, maturing in oak barrel, a beautiful wine with the undergrowth nose intense, blackcurrant and spices, unctuous and fleshy in mouth, with powerful but very delicate tannins, which combines a real structure with an unquestionable elegance. The 2005 are very successful, are coloured and fleshy, with firm and silky tannins at the same time, of a nice concentration, with the notes of currant and humus, a quite robust wine, quite characteristic of this great vintage, that one advises you on a Rossini steaklet.

Classified very well. Vineyard of 32 ha, composed of 80% of Merlot and 20% of Cabernet-Sauvignon. Excellent Premières-Côtes-de-Blaye 2004, very well-balanced with the nose as in mouth, where dominate the ripe fruits, spiced in finale, of very good structure. Beautiful First-Coast-with-Blaye vintage Henri 2000, of garnet-red color, concentrated, with round tannins, of good guard. Nice Clairet 2006 and one white matured out of barrels, where one finds nuances of citrus fruits and almond.

Its Premières-Côtes-de-Blaye 2005, gold medal in Paris, well maturing in oak barrel during 12 months, of intense robe, with the persistent nose (morello cherry, violet), a wine very well-balanced, fleshy, with tasty tannins, of full mouth with nuances of blackberry and pepper, combining a tannic smoothness with a persistent roundness, of excellent evolution.

Family property since 4 generations. Of a surface 29 ha, on ground argilo-limestone, whose average age of the vines is 15 years (70% Merlot, 30% Cabernet-Sauvignon, traditional wine making with long cuvaison then breeding out of tanks during 14 month). This Premières-Côtes-de-Blaye red 2005 is of great classicisme, color crimson, quite robust but very delicate, with these blackcurrant and blackberry notes, a wine which combines smoothness and structure, with dense and silky tannins. Nice Bordeaux white Sauvignon Pont les Moines 2006. Even owner that the Bordeaux Supérieur Château Bran de Compostelle.

François and Denise Verdier acquired the property in 1963 and completely renovated it. After serious studies in enology, it is today their daughter, Cécile, who maintains the spirit family and artisanal respect of the customer and quality of the product. Their Premières-Côtes-de-Bordeaux cuvée Prestige red 2005, traditional, all color and out of matter, with the concentrated nose, is rich, all in aromatic nuances, firm and silky, with a powerful and persistent mouth. The 2004 are excellent, intense, of color crimson, a great aromatic complexity. The 2003 are very quite well-balanced, with the subtle nose where leather and the morello cherry dominate, slightly spiced as it must, dense, tasty, with notes of black fruits and spices, with ripe tannins. The cuvée Tradition regularly is successful, more supple. Remarkable Bordeaux Clairet 2006, to enjoy on a couscous. Formidable ratio quality-price and a reception of first order.
